In a series of highly representative shots, an assortment of individuals of various nationality proceeds in line on a huge desolate airstrip. The group prepares with order, silently, towards a staircase, of the type used as an access interlude in airplanes. However, the aircraft is not present and the staircase leads to an empty space, thus abandoning passengers in waiting and uncertainty. The work embodies the feeling of suspension and vulnerability of those who undertake journeys to reach new lands and who, without documents, find themselves confined in places of temporary detention, waiting to be repatriated. Through this video, the artist immerses us in the perspective of the "other" and the "migrant", direct testimony to the biography of Paci himself, of Albanian origins but emigrated to Italy, which recalls the massive migratory flows along the Adriatic directed by Albania to Italy in the early 1990s.
