Giuseppe Motta is associate professor of History of International Relations at the Department of Modern Literature and Culture of Sapienza University, where he gained a Phd in History of Europe in 2002. He is a member of the scientific council of the same Phd course and the School for Archival Studies; director ad interim of the review “Archivi e Documenti” of the Istituto Storico Lucchese, member of the scientific committee of the journals “EURAS Journal of Social Sciences”, “Scienze e Ricerche” and “L’Aldilà. Rivista di storia della Tanatologia”; member of the editorial board of “Istorijski casopis – The Historical Review” of Belgrade; formerly editor in chief of the “Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies” and member of the editorial board of “Mediterranean Journal of Social Sciences.

Prof. Motta has directed several research projects and participated in the national commissions for the assessment of university research in Slovakia and Romania. In 2020 he was abilitated as full professor in the 14/B2 field of study. He published several articles on the history of national minorities and ethnic conflicts in East-Central Europe on national and foreign journals, including many high-ranked reviews.
