The protagonist of the monologue is a non-human general who oversees a volcanic island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. His task is to trace missing persons lost at sea, the voices and faces of those who claim the dignity of memory; however, it is an almost impossible feat, since the numbers remain contradictory, excessive. The scenic and narrative power is guaranteed by the discrepancy established between the cold and mathematical laconicity of the general and the harassing and sympathetic verbosity of the massacre of bodies.
