César Domínguez Prieto (cesar.dominguez@usc.gal) is full professor comparative literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where he held the Jean Monnet Chair “The Culture of European Integration” between 2012 and 2015, and honorary chair professor at Sichuan University, China. Currently, he is Leverhulme Visiting Professor at the University of Glasgow. His co-authored book Introducing Comparative Literature: New Trends and Applications (Routledge, 2015), has been translated into Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, and Chinese Mandarin. He is co-editor of World Literature: A Reader (Routledge, 2013), A Comparative History of Literatures in the Iberian Peninsula (John Benjamins, 2010–16), and Futures of Comparative Literature: ACLA State of the Discipline Report (Routledge, 2017). Currently, he is working on a book project titled Auerbach in Mexico: For Another Geopolitics of World Literature. As for professional services, he has been Vice-President of the Spanish Society of Comparative Literature, secretary of the ICLA Coordinating Committee, chair of the ICLA Research Committee, and president of the Réseau européen d’études littéraires comparées He is a fellow of the Stockholm Collegium of World Literary History, board member of the Harvard Institute for World Literature, and member of the Academy of Europe.
