The Museum of Civilizations of Rome from 2022, under the direction of Dr. Andrea Viliani, started a revision process that calls into question research, cataloging and return of its collections from different civilizations and different historical periods. My contribution reflects on the concepts of cataloguing, classification, conservation, inevitably connected to archiving processes, specifically in the context of the Roman Museum of Eur. Her contribution also aims to understand the meaning of these terms from a contemporary point of view and to reflect on the methodological issues addressed by the Museum of Civilizations.
