Ramona Onnis is Associate Professor in Italian Studies at Université Paris Nanterre (CRIX – Centre de recherches italiennes). After graduating in Comparative Literature from the University of Cagliari, she received a PhD from Université Paris Nanterre, with a thesis on a postcolonial reading of the work of the Sardinian writer and translator Sergio Atzeni (Sergio Atzeni. Écrivain postcolonial, Paris, L’Harmattan, 2016). She works on cultural studies, postcolonial and gender studies, and contemporary Italian literature and culture. She is currently engaged in a project on narratives of the female body and assisted reproductive technologies. Among her latest works, Il ventre guasto.
