Silvia Contarini
Silvia Contarini is professor of contemporary Italian literature and civilisation at the Université Paris Nanterre. She edits the journal Narrativa. She directs the École doctorale Lettres Langues Spectacles. Co directs the Centre de Recherches Italiennes (CRIX). She is president of AIPI (Associazione Internazionale Professori di Italiano). She coordinated the European project "Transcultural Europe in the Global World" (TransEu). Her research focuses mainly on identity and social issues in contemporary Italian literary production: migration, transculturality, postcoloniality, globalisation, the South, feminisms, work and literature. Her most recent publications include the monograph Scrivere al tempo della globalizzazione (2019) and the co-editing of Écrire la différence culturelle, du colonial au mondial. Une anthologie littéraire transculturelle (2022), Transculturalità e plurilinguismi nella letteratura italiana degli anni Duemila (2022), Transculturalità: un concetto operativo in Europa? (2023), L'Europe transculturelle dans le monde global (2023). These last two books are the result of a multilingual and multidisciplinary Jean Monnet European project she coordinated (2020- 2023), «Transcultural Europe in the Global World» (https://transeu.parisnanterre.fr/). Silvia Contarini will contribute on these topics in relation to the Italian context, migrations and cultural productions.
